Your vehicles emissions are much higher than average. Please submit this form to learn more about your clean car certification options.Certified Clean Car Certificates are a Carbon Dioxide (CO2) offset product for vehicles. CO2 is a greenhouse gas (GHG) that contributes to global warming. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, vehicles release about 13,500 pounds of CO2 into the atmosphere per year on average. When Certified Clean Car Certificates are purchased, Clean Energy Assets
will purchase and retire an equivalent amount of CO2 reductions on your behalf. Certified Clean Car Certificates do not actually reduce the CO2 emissions of your vehicle, but offset the release of CO2 emissions elsewhere. Certified Clean Car Certificates will not prevent the release of, or offset the emissions of, other harmful pollutants from your vehicle, such as particulate matter, lead and nitrous oxide (NOx). Certified Clean Car Certificates are comprised of renewable energy certificates (RECs) and also contain other carbon credits. The RECs portion of your purchase supports renewable electricity production and helps offset conventional electricity generation in the state or region where the renewable generator is located. The RECs purchased through this product are certified by the Green-e Renewable Energy Certification Program. For more information on Green-e, please call 1-888-63-GREEN or log on to www.green-e.org.
